Fishing in Key West this time of year is the perfect time for a grand slam. I have done it in July and several of our guides have done it too. There are still some big tarpon out there and the baby tarpon fishing is picking up. Permit fishing is getting better now that the Del Brown is over. The bonefishing should continue to improve throughout the summer.
The Del Brown Permit Tournament has come and gone with very tough conditions this year. The first day was windy with bad vis and the second day was slick calm making the fish very spooky. A total of 3 (three) fish were caught in three days of fishing by some of the best anglers and guides.
