Greetings from Warm and Sunny Key West! The conditions have been up and down over the past week with no signs of letting up through the holiday week. The cooler water temperatures will start bringing the wolf of the flats (Cuda’s) into play as we move closer to winter. The drop in water temp brings an abundance of bait into the shallows, so predator fish like Cudas and Black Tip sharks will be on the hunt. These fish are a great fight on fly as most who live here look forward to this time of year. Bonefish have still been very thick, and many Captains have reported large numbers to the west of Key West. Permit fishing has slowed down some. Reports have been sporadic lately. Some Captains have had more success than others, but that’s permit fishing for you. Wishing everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving!
